ਬੇਦ ਪੜੇ ਪੜਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਹਾਰੇ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥

Reading and reciting the Vedas, Brahma grew weary, but he did not find even a tiny bit of God's worth.
ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਚਦਾ ਤੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੰਭ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਜਰਾ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਭੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਾਂ ਲੱਗਾ।

The seekers and Siddhas wander around bewailing; they too are enticed by Maya. ||2||
ਅਭਿਆਸੀ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਸ਼ਰ ਵੀ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
